HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey all! I’m not sure you noticed, but I haven’t been around for a while. I’ve been posting inconsistently on YouTube, but I recently decided to take the reigns, and do a full blog relaunch! So I’ll be relaunching my blog and YouTube channel on JANUARY 4th! I’m super excited to share all of this new content with you all. It’s gonna be a great year.

Speaking of next year, since it’s January 1st – I thought I would do a post on New Year’s Resolutions. But this isn’t going to be your typical post. I’ve found over the years, that writing things down really helps. There’s also some other tips to making New Year’s resolutions (or just goals in general), that I’ve discovered – and I’m going to share them with you :)

  • 1.     Only make about 5 resolutions. You’ve got to be realistic and logical – the chances of accomplishing and focusing on 10-15 resolutions is small. Instead, make 5 tangible goals on which you’ll be able to dedicate significant time.
  • 2.     Be specific. For example, don’t just write: “Workout more”. Instead, quantify your goals: “Go to the gym 3 times a week, working in 30 minutes of cardio and changing target exercises each session.”
  • 3.     Write them down. I’ve found that physically writing out my goals has always helped me. I feel like that way, they’re out into the world and out of my head so instead of thinking about them, I can move onto making them a reality. 
  • 4.     Put them somewhere you can see. I tend to write my goals or resolutions somewhere where I’ll constantly see them. Whether it’s a notebook I use a lot, or my agenda – I want to make sure I see them all the time. It’s a constant reminder of what you’re working towards, and what you need to do to get there. 
  • 5.     Look at examples. This may seem nerdy, but I swear it helps! Sometimes it’s hard to get your thoughts into words. Looking at examples will help you see how others have done it – and it might also help give you some new ideas!
