AZEALIA BANKS: Why are you hating?

LO AND BEHOLD EVERYONE..Azealia Banks on the troll train again. What is it with this girl? Like why are you hating? Stop. Just stop. Be happy.

The funny thing is, when I saw this crap she was saying to Zayn Malik and Skai Jackson my immediate thought was: wow you're making me regret supporting you and your stance on Iggy Azalea.

Now while I do still agree on her overall POV on Iggy, that doesn't mean that I agree with everything she says..CLEARLY. Also, let's just get real - she's irrelevant. It just so happened that what she said about Iggy resonated with a lot of coloured people, but it's clear that she's just a troll looking to be negative and spread hate for attention, since she clearly doesn't mind hating on other women of colour lie Skai Jackson (who is 14 by the way..) or men of colour like Zayn Malik. So I'm starting to think she just got lucky with the Iggy comments.
Incase you have no idea what I'm talking about..let's take a look shall we?

The hateration started with Skai Jackson:

Please read Skai's replies, this girl is not taking any shit. So proud of her. I watch that show Jessie on Disney with my cousin's kids, she's amazing. I really don't understand why she would hate on a fellow black entertainer, who is doing amazing things and being a positive role model. And to hate on her body, like really? First of all she's 14, and secondly this attitude is so ignorant when black women's bodies are so highly judged, politicized, appropriated, policed (I could go on...) in so many areas of our society... as another black woman - why would you hate? How are you positively adding to the conversation? Oh're not.

This actually gets into so many deep levels of intraracial hate, cultural appropriation and intersectional feminism...I can't go there with the explanations right now...

Then she decided to go after my fellow brown brother Zayn Malik.

Like why? Just why? Why are you hating on anyone much less other people of colour who haven't done anything to you? She's being homophobic, racist, sexist...I couldn't even include all of her horrible tweets here or this would be the longest post ever.

After her "curry" comment the whole desi community replied with the hashtag #curryscentedbitch. I'm loving the self-love coming from the brown community right now. Here are some of my faves:

And of course, we have some amazing commentary here from the one and only Jus Reign. Again there are so many amazing tweets here, I couldn't post them all - but i really encourage you to go check out his twitter because he really hits the nail on the head. And like me, he's so proud of the South Asian community for coming together and spreading self-love out of a negative situation.

There are so many good comebacks truly, please explore this hashtag on twitter and instagram - it's amazing! I love it when something positive comes out of so much unnecessary hate from someone as irrelevant as her.

MISS ME WITH YOUR NEGATIVITY. WE WILL TURN IT INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE. From one #curryscentedbitch to all the others: let's remember to love ourselves first, and teach haters like this one that you cannot ignorantly attempt to insult a community and expect it to slide. A negative mind will never bring you a positive life Miss Banks. I sincerely hope you take the journey to becoming a better person soon.
